Acorn Academy (our school neighbours) held a coffee morning to raise funds for our new extension and Lisa and Serena generously presented a cheque for € 450 to Mr Hoey and the children. We thank them and all who contributed.

Hoolahoops have become the latest rage in the yard at breaktimes. Some of us can remember when they were popular in the 60s !

Children using their vivid imaginations in the playground. This is their "shop" offering a wide range of goods!

This "Imagination Playground" as we call it was once described by a surprised parent as a "Tip Head" which is the whole point of the matter! It is an area where the children can let their imaginations go wild and just play with ordinary objects to be found in gardens and "make up" all sorts of games etc without being directed by adults as to what to do, what's supposed to happen etc. They learn to "take turns" , to co-operate, to share; all the things they'll need to get on with others through life!
